"The Slop War" is an apt turn of phrase. Why didn't I think of that?

The Slop War is people battling against the ongoing Bullshit Apocalypse. I wish them luck. It will be a battle for the ages, for the soul of our culture.

Both articles use the word "threat" but not "menace". So the answer to our title is, "threat".
