I think that the AI bubble which is driving data center development has already started to deflate. GenAI / LLMs / "AI" has a persistent 9-10% error rate that, given the statistical nature of the technology, appears to be unfixable. Several recent studies find that 95% or more of AI projects provided no ROI.The real purpose of the AI bubble is to allow the tech industry giants to keep looking like they are growth stocks, to keep their incredibly high P/E ratios, to keep their stock prices at least an order of magnitude above what they should be.
Lots and lots of places are going to be stuck with white elephant data centers. Lexington doesn't need to be one of them.
